Policy On Returns
Computer Gate provides the
best “money back guarantee” return policy on most products we sell allowing
our customers to shop with confidence. If you’re not satisfied with your
product within 30 days from the invoice date, we can refund your purchase,
make exchanges, or make replacements.
You must contact us first and obtain
return authorization number (RMA number) prior to shipping otherwise the return will be void.
To submit your RMA requirement. please read the following detail return procedure before you send back your
“money back guarantee” does not cover physical damage caused by the shipping

All RMA numbers are
valid for 15 days from the date of issuance. All RMA numbers after 15 days
will be void.
Repack the product and prepare for shipping. Be sure to include all
manuals, accessories and anything else that came with the original package
along with a copy of invoice you received. Products must still be in like new
and re-sellable condition for your purchase to be refunded for credit. A
minimum 15% restocking fee will be automatically applied if the return does
not meet re-sellable conditions.
Prepare the package for shipping by printing the RMA number legibly and
visible clearly outside of the package, and address the package to be shipped

Freight back to our warehouse must be prepaid. You use traceable
shipping methods with proper insurance for your return package. Shipping
charge is a service paid to the shipper and thus the cost of shipping and
handling cannot be refunded. The cost of shipping and handling will be waived
only if COMPUTER GATE is at fault. COMPUTER GATE will pay for shipping of the
replacement product back to the customer by way of UPS Ground only.
If any exchange is
required, COMPUTER GATE will only ship out the product AFTER we’ve received
and inspected the RMA package. COMPUTER GATE cannot process any cross
shipments. For credit refunds, COMPUTER GATE will either refund your money or
credit back to your credit card. It takes up to 3 weeks for processing RMA
return, up to 3 business days for refund to credit card account, and 2 extra
weeks to process a refund check to prepaid customer.

or serial number will automatically void the warranty and thus void the
returned from customers without a RMA number or using an invalid RMA number
will be refused and void for return. Make sure you have the right RMA number
and it is visible outside the package.
Credits, Refunds, and
Returned merchandise must still be in like-new and re-sellable condition
and be accompanied with all original packaging, documentation and
accessories. Failure to do so will result in the void of the return for
refund. COMPUTER GATE reserves the right to refuse any merchandise or to
impose a 15% minimum restocking fee for any returns not meeting the above
requirement. All merchandise must be received before any refunds or
replacement can be processed; we cannot and do not offer cross shipment.
Please allow for up to 3 weeks for processing. COMPUTER GATE will either
credit your account, exchange, or replace the product and inform you the
result of your return after our warehouse receives, inspects, and processes
your return. Unfortunately shipping and handling are not included in the
refund unless COMPUTER GATE made an error in the order.
Warranty Repairs or Tech
For the benefit of our
customers COMPUTER GATE also provides extended warranty on specific product
lines that we carry. The Extended Service Plan (ESP) extends warranty coverage
for up to two (2) years. Please consult the
ESP page for more details.
COMPUTER GATE does not
provide technical support or troubleshoot for our products via our customer
service representatives. Please research solutions for technical problems
with manufacturer’s website or directly contact with
manufacturer’s technical support

original manufacturers’ policies require that you contact them directly for
assistance regarding their products. Some of these manufacturers offer tech
support as well and will replace, exchange or repair the products according to
their policies. Please refer to the original manufacturer of your products’

All products that COMPUTER
GATE sell are covered by their original manufacturers for use in the United
States only. Products that COMPUTER GATE ships internationally may not have
the same warranty coverage. For international customers, please refer to the
original manufacturers’ warranty for advisement or contact the manufacturers’
local branch office for more information.
Special Products and
CPUs and Memory Modules
Physical damage on all CPU
or memory modules such as cracked and chipped silicon die due to overclocking,
broken trace, or fried and burnt chips will instantly void all warranty.
COMPUTER GATE will also not be responsible for damage caused by damaged
direct warranty services on all retail box CPUs.
All OEM CPU and memory
modules are covered only for 30 days under COMPUTER GATE’s return policy.
Neither COMPUTER GATE nor the manufacturers provide warranty for OEM CPU and
memory modules after 30 days since the invoice date.
COMPUTER GATE will not accept returns or exchanges of OEM CPU and memory
modules after 30 days.
All motherboards are
covered for 30 days under COMPUTER GATE’s return policy. COMPUTER GATE will
not accept returns or exchanges of motherboards after 30 days. Most
Manufacturers will provide direct warranty services on retail motherboards
after 30 days of purchase. Please refer to your motherboard’s manufacturer for
more specific warranty details.
For our customers benefits,
COMPUTER GATE provides an Extended Service Plan (ESP) that extends additional
warranty coverage for two (2) years starting from the original invoice date.

No returns for refunds,
credit, or exchange will be accepted for systems, servers, and custom
configured, special order products. COMPUTER GATE will REPAIR ONLY defective
products under the 1-year limited depot warranty.
Bare-bone systems may be
returned for REPAIR ONLY within 30 days only. No refunds, credit, or exchanges
will be accepted.
We can only accept refunds
or credit on bundled items together as a whole within 30 days from the invoice
date. Every single item included in the bundle has to be in like-new and
resalable condition, if any one item does not meet that condition a minimum of
15% restocking fee will be applied to the whole bundle.
If an individual item is
defective only the defective item has to be returned for repair/replacement
only within 30 days from the invoice date.
Software and Consumable Supplies
Opened software may be
returned for exchange the same title only if defective. No refunds or credits
will be issued on all opened software. No refund, credit, exchange, or repair
for all Opened consumable supplies.
Opened Box or Clearance Items
All Opened box items and
Clearance Items are sold “AS IS”. No refund, credit, exchanges, or repair.
OEM or bulk packaged
products usually come as simple bare packages, meaning they are sold without
manufacturer warranty, manuals, drivers, additional software, or accessories.
However, some products are sold with these additional accessories or software
even though they are labeled as OEM or Bulk packaging.
We can not accept any
returns after our “money back guarantee” expires even if your OEM product is
The retail package comes
with all original manufacturer packaging and warranty card as well as drivers,
additional software and accessories. After the “money back guarantee “expires,
contact only the original manufacturer for returns, exchanges, or repair.

Price matching or Price
Since computer technology
changes and develops at amazing speeds prices often fluctuates on computer
hardware or software. COMPUTER GATE pride in ourselves to providing the best
prices and savings for our customers as possible but unfortunately as policy
COMPUTER GATE cannot offer price protection or price matching on all our
COMPUTER GATE is not
responsible or liable for merchandise that you receive that is damaged by the
shipping carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or the US Post Office. Upon delivery of
the merchandise please inspect the product boxes; if they are damaged refuse
the delivery or report the damaged merchandise to the shipping carrier and
request the carrier to investigate and inspect the damaged products and send
COMPUTER GATE a copy of the inspection report. It is imperative that you
request the carrier to contact COMPUTER GATE at 408-730-0673.
Don’t assemble if the product has physical damage
when it’s received.
